Ben was an incredible spirt. Truly unbreakable. Head strong. As stubborn as a mule. Daft as a brush. But once you knew him you seen a kind and generous soul a person happy to give his time and effort to help you out as he did , not only to me and my family but also countless others along his way. Ben never wanted a normal life he had a love of travel and seeing different ways of life, I think in a way life would have always been too short for Ben he was always thinking of the next thing he could do or place he could go. I will always remember the days with Ben playing on motorbikes, racing old bangers up and down the lanes, training in gym ,drinking his Dad's beers then hitting the town.
I can still hear his laugh. I hope I never forget it.

My Dear friend Ben fondly known as uncle Ben to my girls xx
I cannot believe another massive part of my life has been taken so soon.
The stories I could tell of what we got up to and the belly laughs we had. You were one of my honey mooners and my Thelma on our road trip back from Spain.
Rest easy babe until we party again love you forever xx

Ben xx

Little Ben, a wild storm brewed,
From day one, never any rest, it seemed.
Screams instead of sleep at night,
Rocking, rocking, just to make things right.

School bells rang, but wild stayed true,
Parents called, "What did he do?"
Trouble found him, quick and fast,
License gone before he passed

Carpentry, with cousin Joe,
Steady hands, a skill to grow.
Brilliant work, a steady art,
But Ben's wild soul craved a different start.

Ireland, Spain, then far away,
Thailand's shores, Australia's bay.
Twenty-five years, a restless soul,
Living life beyond control.

Then home he came, at forty-six,
A shadow fell, a cruelest trick.
Cancer's grip, a painful hold,
Months to live, a story told.

No doctors' help, a different way,
Weed his solace, day by day.
He grew his own, a silent plea,
To face the end wild and free.

Two years passed, he's still in sight,
Fighting on with all his might.
Living now with me, his sis,
Wild Ben's story, full of twists.

R.I.P. Little Brother ❤️ miss you more than you’ll ever know xx
