John KennethDAVIES MBEPassed away peacefully at Springhill Hospice on Tuesday 1st August 2023. Aged 79 years. The much loved Husband of Joan. Loving Dad to Iain and Alun. Father-in-law to Jenny and Mel. Devoted Grandpa to Albert. A dear Brother to the late Sheila. Brother-in-law to Judith, Uncle and a special friend to many. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Service to take place at St Aidan's Church, Sudden on Tuesday 22nd August 2023 at 12.15pm, followed by a private family Committal at Rochdale Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Springhill Hospice. Enquiries to S Wellens and Sons Funeral Directors 0161 643 2677

I first met Ken in the 70s when I moved to the area, there followed a great friendship. A lively caring gentleman always with a smile and kind words, devoted to his Springhill Hospice and the Masonic Lodges. Will be greatly missed by all. Thoughts are with Joanie and just family at this sad time. RIP

So very saddened to hear this news.
Ken was a lovely man who always made you smile. Worked so very hard especially for Springhill Hospice. Thinking of Joan and family.

Ken was such a wonderful gentleman. I worked alongside Ken many times whilst working for the music service and he never failed to brighten everyone’s mood when he was around. Love to his family at this very sad time. He was one of a kind x

So sorry to hear this sad news. I worked for Ken at Skipton Building Society for many years. Ken was a lovely, sincere man and we shared many laughs over the years, a great Boss. Sending condolences to Joan and family, I’ll miss his smiling face. God Bless RIP Ken.
