Ann KathleenDAVEY (MBE)(née Tredget) Ann passed away peacefully on November 15th aged 92. Beloved wife of the late John; much loved Mum to Jonathan, Rachel, Ruth, and their partners Marion, Toby and Michael; devoted Granny/Nana to George, Alex, Rory, Ismay, Sam and Jim; and a dear friend to many.

A resident of Thundridge for over 60 years, Ann loved village life and supported the community in countless ways. A tireless fundraiser for Save the Children UK and Isabel Hospice, amongst others, Ann was recognised with an MBE in 2000, presented by the late Queen at Buckingham Palace for services to the community in Ware.

Jonathan, Rachel, Ruth, and their families, would like to thank all friends and neighbours for the kindness, love and support shown to Ann during her lifetime, and to the family since their recent sad loss. Thanks to everyone who was able to join them in celebrating Ann's life at her funeral service, and for the generous donations given in her memory to Save the Children UK.

Sorry to hear of Ann’s passing, we lived in no.31 for over 32 years and had many conversations when we bumped into each other on walks to the old church with dogs (or even without) and the allotments. I used to be very impressed by the fact she had been swimming early morning and then delivering newspapers, an inspirational lady. Such a pleasure to have known her and of her contribution to others over the years. I know her family would be proud of her. Kim and Dan McAvoy
