RuthDALE(née Edmondson) Finally made it to a more restful, peaceful place on Monday 12th January 2026, surrounded by her family.

Ruth had a lifelong career in nursing and many hobbies where she made many friends.

Ruth is survived by her husband and children.

A celebration of Ruth's wonderful life shall be held at Gloucester Crematorium, Tuesday 27th January 2026 at 2:30pm, with a wake to follow.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be left in the collection box after the service or sent to

Ruth came to work with us at Pavilion at the end of her career. She was a very efficient, kind, loyal hard working nurse and was a great asset to our team. I also worked with Ruth at Hucclecote. Sleep peacefully Ruth you deserve a rest. Sending comfort to her family.

Ruth touched so many lives be they patients, colleagues or friends. Ruth's sincerity, kindness and care has made me a better nurse. Thank you Ruth for some lovely memories in and out of work. May peace be with you. Lizzie xx

I worked with Ruth maybe 45 years ago in Orthopedic OPD in GRH. She was lovely to me, I was young only 18. Some people stay with you xx RIP Ruth
