Jeremy and I served our apprenticeships together at the Rank company in Watton Road, Ware. I once said to him I have the right to be right, he thought about it and replied no you have to earn the right to be right, a profound answer. In 1976 we took a week long trip with with two other friends Gary Gamage and Perry Yates to france, through Belgium and into the Netherlands all four of us cooped up in a Mini 1000cc in bright yellow, if only we had a camera! When we worked together he introduced me to the books of Jan Cramer, an unusual author but good tales. I remained friends with Jeremy I think we last met in 2018, I only recently saw this notice of his death, which needless to say saddened me. I met his mum, dad and Pip back in day and well recall borrowing a bycycle to cycle home from their home in Ware back to Welwyn Garden City. He attended my wedding to Jen 45 years ago riding up to Lancashire on his motor bike. My last story is in 1970 I rode pillion on the back of his Ducati into london on the A10 road and he took the speed up to 100mph, in the days before speed cameras, I nearly cried I was so scared, but we were young, reckless and happy. Jeremy was an influence on my early days and a true friend. Thank you Jeremy for who you were and the times we enjoyed
