Isabella ImrieCOWELLformerly of Bamford Crescent, Accrington passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 29, aged 94 years. The devoted wife of the late Jim, loving and loved mum of Graham and his wife Marjorie, dear sister of David and the late Irene and also loved relative and friend. Ella spent her working life in clerical work working at Accrington Brick and Tile before becoming a school secretary working at BRGS, Haslingden High and Broadfield school. With her super talented organisational skills, Ella was always a well respected member of her working team and she truly loved her work and loved nothing more than working under pressure. In her younger years she was always active and loved a game of tennis, she was also a former member of Baxenden and Accrington Golf Club alongside her husband Jim. She loved to travel and over the years Ella has visited most of Europe enjoying the local culture and relaxing in the warm climate. She was a well known and loved face on Bamford Crescent where she lived for over 30 years and she always ensured her garden bloomed in full colour. Ella was taken into the loving care of Braeside Home For The Elderly where she was lovingly cared for by all the wonderful staff. Funeral Service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, September 8 at 11.40am. All enquiries to Champ Funeral Services.

We were so sad to hear of Ella's passing. We both had the pleasure of working with Ella at Broadfield Soecial school. She was school Secretary and was much loved by us and all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Rest in Peace Ella. Love and God bless Dave and Jeanette Parkes xxx
