MichaelCORDEYMichael passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday 14th February at Birch Green Care Home.

He lived in Rossendale for most of his life, working in the family baking business with his mother and brothers. As well as this he enjoyed several hobbies. He was a keen and competitive bowler for many years and was part of a very successful Edgeside Bowling team. Michael was also a lover of quizzes and enjoyed his time as quiz master for the Rossendale town competition in the 1980s. In his later years he moved to Parbold with his wife Marie, where he was able to indulge another passion, creating a beautiful garden, which they both enjoyed. He made many happy memories through his travels and eating out, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Michael will be missed by those he leaves behind; his wife Marie, brother Paul, sisters in law Janet and Josie, children Michele, Nicole, Catherine, Philip, John and Chris and their partners as well as 13 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Michael's funeral will take place at 11am on March 12th at Our Lady and All Saints Church, Lancaster Lane, Parbold.

Instead of flowers, donations to Birch Green Care Home, Skelmersdale will be welcomed on the day of the funeral.
