Denys JamesCOLLYERMarket Gardener of Melbourne Passed away peacefully at home, after a bravely endured illness aged 88 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife Ruth and children, Nigel and Hayley, together with his extended family and grandchildren. A service to celebrate his long and respectfully lived life will be held at Bretby Crematorium, Geary Lane, Burton-on-Trent, DE15 0QE on Thursday 28th July 2022 at 1.30pm. Family flowers only please. One of life’s true gentlemen,he loved to sing in the Male Voice Choir and Melbourne Operatiic Society and Michael sang with him on many occasions,RIP Denys .Margaret & Michael x

Denys, you were a loving and caring, dependable and supportive stepfather, stepgrandfather and stepgreatgrandfather. We have so many happy memories of all the family occasions- you wowed us at the dinner table with your wit, and beat us at board games with your fantastic general knowledge and quick thinking ( we always wanted you on our team).
You will be greatly missed, Henry and Arthur don't really understand where you are and why you aren't doing puzzles with them. You now rest, you deserve it, after all you have given to other people's lives. Much love.
