It's a parents worst nightmare, to lose your child
In that second your life stops and your mind just goes wild
You cannot accept the harsh words that are said
There's been a tragic accident, and your Son is now dead 💔
The following months become just a blur
pain, anger and sadness, you cannot deter
I remained standing, though my heart not whole
A shadowed frame with a hollow soul.
Somehow I continued, for my family I guess,
In honour of you James as you'd expect nothing less.
Today behind my persona, smile,
sadness and tears,
Is your heartbroken Mum reminiscing the years
I will never forget you, you can be sure that is true
And I'm forever grateful for being blessed with you
My beautiful boy, and apple of my eye
You'll remain in my heart James till the day that I die
This heartache will be carried my whole life through
Until my final day that will reunite me with you
