NormanCLEMENTSNorman Clements, formerly of Clayton-le-Moors passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 14, aged 91. Norman was a devoted, loving family man who worked extremely hard to provide for his family, Norman held numerous jobs throughout his working life and completed two years of national service as an Army Medic, this was something Norman was extremely proud of. Norman spent a good few years running the Heys Pub in Oswaldtwistle alongside his wife Dorothy, many happy memories and friendships were made. Norman also worked for Phillips making the tubes that went into televisions. Norman and Dorothy loved their trips to Blackpool whilst spending time with their grandchildren, he was most happy when he had his family around him and would often travel to London to visit his daughter and his grandchildren and whilst at home he would catch up with them on FaceTime. Norman was an avid Liverpool supporter and he would cheer them on whenever he got the chance to watch them and he looked forward to his daily dose of the soaps, Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Eastenders. Norman will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed, his family would like to offer a special thank you to all the professionals who looked after Norman in the final stages of his illness, they will be forever grateful. Dearly-loved husband of Dorothy, much-loved dad of Jeannette and Colin, cherished grandad to Louise and Laura, devoted great grandad to Lucy, William and Emma also a dear relative and friend to many. Norman’s funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, October 28th at 2.20pm.
