I remember Christine sending me these not long after they were taken.
Although I never got to meet her Father, it's clear how his kindness, strength, and cheerful attitude was passed on to his daughter.

Robert Arthur (BOB) Cheverall, known to many as Bob (M0/1DTA), was a familiar and well-respected voice on the CB and amateur radio bands. His callsign stood for “Delicious Tasting Apple,” (he was a farmer and an apple picker). Bob was a long-time committee member of the ERG and hosted the 6-metre repeater at his QTH.
Bob played an active role in novice training program and was always ready to help newcomers find their way into the hobby.
Bob was a radio amateur from Danbury, Essex, who found real joy in making connections. Where others saw wires, signals, and call signs, Bob saw people. Amateur radio was, for him, a way to share knowledge, offer help, and feel part of a wider community.
At the centre of Bob’s life was his wife, Lyn. She supported him for many years, and together they showed great generosity and warmth to everyone. Bob and Lyn opened their home to local radio amateurs, hosting breakfast almost every weekend. Those gatherings meant a great deal to many and reflected the kindness they both shared with all.
Bob – your voice may no longer be heard but we all will remember his friendships he built up.
Bob will be deeply missed - RIP
David
