It is with deep sadness but abiding faith that the family of Vida Bellvidena Charles announce her peaceful passing on 10 December 2025 aged 90 years old. Vida brought light, laughter and strength to all who knew her. As a devoted Christian whose faith in the Lord was at the centre of her life, she welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness.

Born in Pratville, Manchester, Jamaica, she lived life with a generous heart and a warm smile, sharing her faith and love freely. Vida cherished her family and fellowship, as well as found joy in helping others.

She leaves behind her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many, many, many friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by husband Leroy Charles, siblings James Ewers, Icy Hutchinson, Derris Ewers, Robert Ewers and her dear cousin Thomas Ewers.

A Thanksgiving Service to celebrate Vida's life will take place on Friday 9 January 2026, 11am at Elim Hope Church, St Patrick's Street, Stafford. ST16 2PS. Followed by a burial at Stafford Crematorium, Tixall Road, Stafford, ST18 0XZ.

Donations in lieu of flowers are gratefully welcomed, and will be divided between the charity, One by One and the work at Stafford Elim Hope Church. Mrs Charles had the biggest heart, a big smile and a warm laugh. She was a very loving woman whom welcomed you with open arms.
I will always remember her kindness and honesty. She will be truly missed.
