I came to know Vaughan through his son Kev. We played together in a band called 'KGP' (Kev, Greg, Pete). This band was an evolution of 'Box of Frogs' at whose gigs a young Kev would play an acoustic set during our half time breaks at the Cross Keys. He remained close to, and then a member of, the evolved band. Eventually, all five members of both lineups would play long gigs at the Cross Keys, one of which was on 7/12/2013, Vaughans' 60th birthday bash. We did not know it on the night but that was to be the last time we would play together ending a nineteen year combined history of wonderful times. It seems fitting now that we finished playing a gig in honour of Vaughan. His animated enthusiasm and humour in conversation will remain with me as a cherished memory always. I will forever see Vaughan in my minds' eye in this way. It was a joy to have known him. Greg Foley.
