PatriciaCAMERONMrs Patricia Cameron, known as Pat, of Grane Road, Haslingden, died on Sunday, February 20, aged 72. Pat was brought up in Accrington, and she attended Holy Family School. On leaving school, she began work as a typist/ receptionist at Naylor’s Printers, Church, where she stayed for four years. She then took a break to raise her family, before returning to work as a nursery nurse at White Ash School, Oswaldtwistle, a job she really enjoyed, and where she remained for several years. She then took up shop work for some time, before moving home to Durham, where she lived for over 20 years. After the birth of her newborn granddaughter, Pat, along with her husband Duncan, returned to settle in Haslingden so she could look after the baby. Pat enjoyed old world wines, and liked her music, especially Barry Manilow, Gladys Knight, and Diana Ross. She enjoyed watching football, tennis, and rugby on TV. She also liked foreign travel, including holidays to Italy, Israel, and America. Pat is survived by her husband Duncan, sons Lee and Marc, granddaughter Olivia, and daughter-in-law Julia. She is also a sister to Jean, Bernard, and the late Geoff, and sister-in-law Christine. She also leaves behind nephew Alex and niece Charlotte. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 16, at 12.20pm at Accrington Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only, with donations if desired to Rossendale Hospice c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
