Dad, I just wanted to say happy birthday. I know you didn't like a song and a dance about them but I am hoping that Jason can find a firework in the loft tonight that we can let off for you, If you are watching me then you know exactly how I am feeling. Hopefully when all the 'firsts' are over it will get easier. I know you will be waiting for me wherever you are and then I will have my sidekick back. You were the only one who stood up for me and I feel so lonely now.

The kids keep saying how they miss you kicking them in the bum and want to know when you will be able to do it again, I don't know what to tell them so I change the subject.

I'm gonna go and open the shop now but you will be in my thoughts all day so please make me stong enough to do it.

Dad, As the 'merry' time of year fast approaches all I can think about is how unfair that you are not here with us. I know that the kids, family and friends will keep me going but you are going to be in my thoughts all day. If you can I need you to make me a stronger person as I am finding it difficult and I need some of the strength that you used to have no matter what the occasion was. You were and always will be my hero and my rock, now I need to be strong for everyone else around me. I miss you Dad and I just want to make you proud of me being able to handle whatever life throws at me. (I will save you some bacon)

I have so many lovely memories of you, mostly with Birdline, I never thought I would meet any body who had the same passion about parrots as I did, but you felt just the same about them, thats why i guess we got along so well, you had a gift with parrots, you understood them, even when they decided to take a bite!
Im sure Jasper, Roger and Max are all missing you but cant say, I miss you every day, but finally you are able to breathe and live your life with the angels!
See you again sometime hey.
