Derek StanleyBURFORDDerek sadly passed away on Saturday 8th November 2025, aged 93.
Derek was proud to be a Signaller in the RAF, as well as spending many years as a printer at the Telegraph and the Times, and in retirement volunteered for Cancer Research UK.
At the age of 30 he married the love of his life, Trudi, who he called his 'Swiss Princess'.
Trudi and Derek were married for 62 wonderful years until she passed peacefully earlier this year.
He is survived by his 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a kind, generous man with a brilliant sense of humour, who loved his family, his garden and a good pub lunch.
Funeral will be held on 11th December 2025.
