RogerBRYANTPassed away peacefully at home in the presence and care of his daughters on Friday March 6, aged 86. Roger, from Carnes Court, Falmouth and formerly Four Lanes, Redruth was a well known singer/songwriter in the traditional folk scene and a founding member of the sea shanty group Rum & Shrub Shantymen. Roger will be remembered as a wonderful husband, dad, friend, singer and writer of the song Cornish Lads (Cornish Lads are fishermen and Cornish Lads are miners too, but when the fish and tin are gone what are the Cornish boys to do?). Roger's legacy will continue in the memory of his family and friends and in the singing of the wonderful songs he left behind. A celebration of life for Roger will take place on Saturday 25 April at the Membly Hall Hotel, Falmouth from 1-5pm.
