On 1st April 1950 my cousin George and I decided one evening to go to the Coventry Speedway to see the Bees.
Best Friends Margaret and Dorothy also decided on this same evening to go to the speedway.
While we were there George said, “I know one of these girls let’s go and see if we can buy them a cup of tea”.
This turned out to be a very important cup of tea!
I started courting Margaret and George started courting Dorothy.
Margaret and I and Dorothy and George both celebrated our Platinum wedding anniversaries.
The rest is history.
Rest in peace George, Love Fred.

Grandad. I Miss you so much. Miss you calling me a blumming hound and telling me off for shopping and spending too much money. You did so much for me and I'll always be grateful for having you in my life. Teddy misses going over the allotment and playing on all fours on the floor with you. I love you more than you ever knew. I know you are at peace now and that is a comfort to us all. We'll look after Grandma for you. Until we meet again xxx
