Patrick JosephBRETTFormerly of Bunnacranagh, Co. Sligo. Passed away peacefully after a short illness, at the Royal Derby Hospital on 27th December 2025, aged 88 years.

Beloved husband of the late Mary and a devoted father to James, Kevin and the late Anna. PJ was a much-loved father-in-law to Angelina and Tracey and a cherished grandad to Joe, Matthew, Jacob and Louie. He was also a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Sadly missed by all his relatives and many friends, especially those within the Derby Irish Community and St Mary's Parish. Cortège to arrive at St Mary's Catholic Church, Bridge Gate, at 6.00pm on Tuesday 3rd February. Funeral Mass at 1.00pm on Wednesday 4th February, followed by burial at Nottingham Road Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Prostate Cancer UK may be made via www.wathalls.co.uk or via the collection box at the Funeral Mass. Requiescat in Pace.

So sorry to hear this awful news. What a lovely man P.J. was.
Always had time for a quick chat when out on one of his regular little walks around the neighbourhood.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all his family.
