AndrewBOOCOCKKnown to many as Andy Boo or just Boo, aged 65, of Patrick Crescent, Rossendale, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, with his beloved partner Wendy by his side after a long and arduous battle with cancer.

A committee member of Bacup Museum for over ten years and a member of Bacup Bowling Club for twelve,
the last year of which he had been a team captain and chairman, before having to give both up due to his failing health.

Andy had a great love of music and travel. His other love was football, from playing as a young under-13-year-old for Redbrook Middle School, Rochdale FC under-17s, Bacup Borough, Everton and Lancashire Schoolboys under-17s,
as well as for Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School, and various pub teams such as the Jolly Sailor.
A lifelong Manchester City and Rochdale FC supporter.
His football legacy will endure through a soon-to-be released 50,000-word book, Football's Trailblazers -
The Lancashire clubs who kick-started professional football.
Edited by Mark Metcalf and the film Football Crazy, he was working on during his illness.

Andy leaves behind his fiancée Wendy, sisters Linda and Karen, stepbrother Mark, stepfather Colin, stepmother Pat, and brothers-in-law Lyndon and Ian. Nephew Paul and nieces Danielle, Laura, Nicola, Leanne, and Debbie.
Wendy's children and grandchildren, who, like everyone who knew Andy, took him to their hearts and
loved him dearly.
A wide circle of former school friends and acquaintances.

Family flowers only, please. Donations to Pendleside Hospice.

A service and committal will take place on Saturday, November 8, at Burnley Crematorium at 10.45am.
