Dear Aunty Doreen - undoubtedly the most exciting Aunty, and probably including uncles as well, I could have wished for. I remember as a small boy being in awe and admiration of Aunty Doreen because she went to work on a very stylish Italian motor-scooter - the machine was far too big for Aunty Doreen, but she was never daunted by such things. Aunty Doreen's personality, resolve, and determination were always so much bigger than her diminutive stature. It was also always fun and cheeky laughter to be in Aunty Doreen's company - we seemed to make each other laugh a lot, over the smallest things, and her laughter was infectious, and would continue long after we could remember what we had started to laugh about in the first place. Aunty Doreen smiled with her eyes, and would light up a room. So, farewell Aunty Doreen - your scooter to the stars awaits - bon voyage!
