Barry was a very good friend of my Stepdad, the late Brian Tock.
I had the pleasure of meeting Barry on several occasions when I was with Brian, including some wonderful days at the races.
Barry was such a lovely man, so friendly and such good company. I know Brian will be looking down and with you all on Friday; as he will be there too at my Mum’s funeral - it’s on the same day.
Thinking of you all and sending love

Barry and Barbara were always so welcoming to all of when we descended on their house on a regular basis as teenagers. Very sad to hear this and also to find about my friend Patrick...I will raise a Glenfiddich in their honour.

Barry and my dad Jim Whitbread were childhood best friends living on opposite sides of Fulbeck Road. I remember him, Barbara and his parents Mr & Mrs Blogg very well from my childhood, they were lovely people.
Sending condolences from the Whitbread family.

To Andy and Rachel i am so sad to hear of the loss of your Dad. He and your Mum gave me lots of tea conversation and many happy memories.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and may your Dad continue to watch over your family, like he always did
Rest in peace old friend.
