John FrederickBLODWELLJohn passed away peacefully on the 7th April, at the age of 82.
Brought up in Manchester, John lived in Newcastle for many years, working before his retirement as a Senior Lecturer at Northumbria University. He continued his research and thinking on physics and mathematics until the end of his life. He was a valued member of his local Catholic church, an avid football fan, steam train enthusiast, and keen walker.
A loving husband, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
All are warmly invited to a Requiem Mass for John on Thursday 7th May, 11.30am, at St Dominic's Catholic Church, New Bridge Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 2TE.
Instead of flowers, any donations should be sent to Macmillan Cancer Support.
