Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family aged 94 years.

Devoted husband of 70 years to his loving wife Dorothy (Dot). Loving dad to Roy, Gillian and the late Phillip and Janet. Much loved father-in-law to Doreen and Paul. Cherished Grandad of Julia, Andrew, Katie, Helen, Andy and Rachel also Great Grandad to Kira, Toby and Loni. Much loved uncle to all his nephews and nieces and now re-united with his beloved brothers and sister.

Funeral to be held on Friday June 27th in Christ Church Norris Green at 12noon service to continue at 1:20pm in Anfield Crematorium.

Family flowers only please.

Grandad Bernie.. ♥️

I will miss your smiling face,getting a big hug from you and watching the lovely interactions you had with Loni, like when you were telling her all about the Concorde you built from scratch.. She was amazed!
Whenever she drew a picture you always wanted to see it and encourage her… it was just so nice to see.. ✈️ 🖍️ 🥰
You always took an interest in hearing our stories and looking at the pictures we had taken of all the fun things Andrew, Loni and I had been up to.. ♥️

Andrew told me how special his grandparents are and as soon as I met Bernie and Dot I knew exactly why.. a heart of gold 💛 and just totally “Precious”.

Although you are no longer with us grandad,you will always have a very special place in my heart.

If you have a special uncle, cherish him with care, for you'll never know the sadness 'til you see his empty chair.
Good night, God bless uncle Bernie. I'll miss our Thursday night chats. Have a whiskey up there for me. You really were a true gentleman.
