GeraldBIRTWELLPassed peacefully on January 23 at Royal Blackburn, aged 82 years.
Gerald apprenticed at Haslingden Co-op before starting his own successful decorating business which he carried on for the rest of his working life.
Gerald was a member of Blackburn Badminton Association and Rossendale Badminton. He also rode speedway in his younger years. Gerald was a keen fan of Speedway, F1, badminton and Six Nations Rugby.
He leaves behind Barbara, his wife of 61 years as well as sister Dot and brother-in-law Stuart, nephews Oliver and Jeremy, nieces Casey, Joanne and Lisa.
Gerald’s funeral will take place on Monday, February 19 at Accrington Crematorium, at 1.40pm.
Donations in his memory are welcomed for Derian House.
