JoyceBIRRELLFormerly of Walkington, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 27th 2025, in a care home in Hertfordshire, aged 109 years. Beloved wife of the late Morris, loving mother of Mike and a much-loved granny & great granny.

Funeral service on Thursday, January 22nd at 12noon at Guilden Morden Parish Church, SG8 0JD.

I was just scrolling this site and came across Joyce’s photo and recognised her face and her name. I used to care for Joyce when she lived in Walkington in a house opposite the pond, back in 2015 or so. Lovely lady and we had some nice chats, mostly sat in the little room the looked into the back garden off the living room. May you rest in peace, Joyce. It was a pleasure visiting and caring for you all those years ago. What a wonderful age too, 109.xx
