IreneBENNIONIrene sadly passed away peacefully in her sleep at the nursing home where she was lovingly cared for as a "cherished family member" in the early hours of Sunday, 27th July, aged 87. Where two days before, she had completed knitting a yellow submarine doorstop.
Reunited wife of Michael (of 60 years) in Heaven.
Loving and supportive Mother to David, Michael and Stephen, as well as mother-in-law to both Maeve and Tracey. Thrilled Grandmother to Jack, Thomas, Becca, Jamie and Katina.
Main funeral service to take place at Syke Methodist Church ( where she held the distinguished position of President of their Ladies Guild briefly and sang in the choir for several decades) on Friday, 29th August at 10:40 am, a crematorium service at Rochdale Crematorium at 11:50 am, with light refreshments provided at Syke Chapel until 1pm afterwards.
Donations if desired to be split between Syke Methodist Church and Fieldhouse Care Home
Sadly, will be missed by all.
