GleniseBELLAMAfter a long illness, Mrs Glenise Bellam sadly passed away peacefully at her home in New Lane, Oswaldtwistle, on Wednesday, June 5, aged 79. She was the wife of the late Stuart Bellam, and later partner of Ian. Glenise had two daughters, Rachel and Lisa, along with many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Originally from Oldham she moved to Oswaldtwistle after she married in the 1960s but still stayed in contact with her school friends who she had known for over 65 years. A very friendly person, she soon became established in Oswaldtwistle, and was a member of the local NSPCC fundraising committee. She enjoyed family holidays abroad but equally enjoyed touring caravan holidays in the UK in Devon and Cornwall. As the MS from which she had suffered for many years gradually worsened she did manage one last holiday abroad to Lake Garda. She was a kind and generous person who was adored by all her grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held in Immanuel Church, Oswaldtwistle, on Monday, June 24 at 1pm, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the MS Society, c/o Hyndburn Funeral Service.
