LynetteBATESIt is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved Lynne.
Lynne passed away peacefully at home on Sunday 11th January 2026, with her devoted husband and family by her side.
Treasured wife of 54 years to her adored Bob. Cherished mum to Lana and Gary.
A wonderful Nanna, and friend to Callum, Jesse, Jake, Millie and Nathan. A loyal and loving friend to so many.
Lynne lived a full and joyful life, surrounded by people she loved and who loved her in return. She had countless friends, embraced every day with warmth, and filled every room with laughter. Her kindness, humour and generous spirit will be remembered always.
She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be held dearly by all who knew her.
A funeral service to celebrate the blessed life of Lynne will take place on Tuesday 10th February at 12.00, midday, at Grimsby Crematorium.
We kindly ask all who join us, to honour Lynne's memory by wearing colourful clothing.
Lynne loved to paint, and she truly lived her life in colour.
By the family's request no floral tributes but if you do so wish donations in memory of Lynne may be made to the Guide Dogs for the Blind. Or given on the day of the service.

Lynne's superpower was her humour. Lynne's legacy was her warmth. Rasing a glass of posh fizz, to the rare gift, that was Lynne. Thank you for being our friend.
