DavidBASSDavid peacefully passed away, in Hannah's arms, on Thursday 20th November, in Ward Two of The Florence Nightingale Community Hospital.
David was the love of Hannah's life, and he was the father of eternally missed Carl, his devoted and cherished daughter Rachel, and Christopher. David was also the father in law of Maxine, who loved him dearly, and he was the beloved grandfather of Joe and Katie. David was also a great friend of Frederick, Hannah's father.
David was an extremely skilled builder, who really enjoyed his work, and he especially loved being able to help others. David was a beautiful and gentle soul, who deeply loved his animals, and also the natural world. David had a keen wit, and a dry sense of humour; this, alongside his genuine warmth, touched all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
For over twenty seven years, David was my wonderful everything: he was my treasured soulmate, my closest and most precious friend, and my constant companion. David made every day brighter just be being in it. David will be missed beyond measure, and his love will forever live in my heart, and in the hearts of others, too.
In accordance with David's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of this, in the coming weeks, invitations will be sent to close family and friends, to gather and honour David's memory, and to celebrate his life.
