So sorry to hear the news of Baz’s passing, he was a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of working alongside him and sharing an office on shifts at the Rod Mill in my role as Deputy Engineering Supervisor. My lasting memory of Baz will be him telling me how “great” my coffee making skills were - unknown to me this was just a ploy to get me to make a coffee for him on a regular basis - which worked! A lovely man and dear friend who will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

RIP Baz,

Tom Murray

Yo Bazza, where do I start? The things I want to say have already been said by everyone who ever knew you, every message I’ve had have all said the same thing. Brilliant dad, son, brother, stepdad, grandad, uncle and a friend to everyone who knew you. You got the job as my best mate about a minute after we met, that’s how long it took me to realise what a brilliant, genuine bloke I’d met, easy to talk to and have a pint with. You always knew how to help me out when I needed it,which I must admit was fairly often! I was thinking of standing up and saying this to everyone but you know me,I’d have folded like a cheap napkin! We’ve lost an awesome fella,I’ve lost my best mate. Keep an eye out kid because there’ll be times I look up and say’well Bazza, how do I get out of this?’ You’ll never be forgotten topman. Love Beaks
