BARKERPETER BARKER OBE Passed away peacefully on Monday 13th August 2018 aged 82 years. Much loved husband to Jenny, beloved father to Sarah, David and Matthew, loving grandpa to Anna and William. He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral service to be held at Kent & Sussex Crematorium on Friday 7th September at 1.45pm. Peter was an inspiration, to me and many others. He worked tirelessly to improve access and his legacy can be seen everywhere. I enjoyed his company on many access panels - his determination and commitment are unsurpassed. Thank you Peter for all you achieved.

Peter was a leader who inspired me during my time at JMU / RNIB and I know many others in the access world. He was a kind man and a pioneer of access for vision loss - 'Building Sight', 'Project Rainbow' and 'The Sign Design Guide' still relevant and used - his legacy for future generations.

Peter gave us all on the Strategic Access Panel such great support and good advice, but it is his goodness and humour which I will miss most of all.

Very sad to hear about Peter. A legend in the access world, a mentor and inspiration to me and many others; and perhaps more importantly a wonderful gentleman and much missed friend. Condolences to Jenny and his family.
