JohnBAMFORD MBELocal fundraiser who raised 1.2 million pounds for charity,
passed away peacefully at home with loved ones, aged 88.
John Bamford MBE, of Fountain Court (Biddulph)
died on Friday 3rd July
after a short battle with a brain tumour.
John will be remembered for his positive welcoming smile, his cheery red jumpers, his musical abilities and his fundraising capabilities to help others who were less fortunate than himself.
A Thanksgiving service will take place on
Thursday 30th July at 12.30 at Biddulph Methodist Church
to celebrate his wonderful life.
Everyone is asked to wear bright, cheerful colours.
