BernardBALDWIN27.3.29 - 25.2.08 It is with great sadness that Josie and family announce the death of Bernard on February 25 2008. Bernard passed away peacefully at home after a very long illness bravely and patiently borne. Bernard was the dearly beloved husband of 54 years to Josie, he was a dearly loved brother to Faye and brother-in-law to Winnie and a very much loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. The requiem mass was held at St Illtyds Church in Dowlais. Josie and all the family would like to thank Father Michael Evans for his care and friendship to Bernard during his illness and his understanding and compassion during the mass. The family also thank Pauline for her services at the Organ. Special thanks to the Bearers (nephews) Nigel Evans, Tim Wallen, Michael Mahoney, Christopher Mahoney, Mark Benbow and Jamie Hall. The family were overwhelmed by the number of people who came to pay their last respects to Bernard and would like to thank you all for your kind words, mass cards, sympathy cards and support during this sad time. There were family flowers only at the burial but donations in lieu of flowers have totalled £450 which will be donated to the Stroke Association. The family also thank most sincerely the members of the British Legion who attended the burial and for their moving words and music. During Bernard's long illness Josie had the support of many people, she would like to thank Professer Richards and also his team at Morlais Practice for their constant care of Bernard and the District Nurses for their compassion and cheerfulness. Last but not least the fine team of daily carers, who began as carers but became his dear friends. Josie thanks you all so much and she will never forget you. Thanks also to Michael Foley and David Crandon for their quiet, professional and caring services at the house and the burial. My dear Bernard, you are at peace now and I will love you forever - Josie.
