KarinaBAINESIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karina Baines, who passed away peacefully at Burton Hospital on Sunday, 31st May 2026, aged 65.

Beloved partner of Steve, adored mother of Lindsey and Jo, dear mother-in-law to Wayne, and special friend to Raj. Devoted Nanny to Kellyann, Josh, Lexi, Rio, Evie, and Ellie, and Great-Nanny to Sierra, Amari, and Deedee.

Karina will be lovingly remembered for her gentle, caring, and loving nature, as well as her beautiful, warm smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Karina's Funeral Service will be held on Friday 26th June 2026 at Church Gresley Methodist Church at 11:00am. Followed by a burial at York Road Cemetery.

Following the service the family warmly invites you to raise a glass and share more memories of Karina at The Jennings Rooms, 31 Ticknall Road, Hartshorne, Swadlincote, DE11 7AS.

Although I didn't have the privilege of knowing you well, I have been thinking about you and your loving family everyday. I know how deeply loved you were by those around you. Cancer is a cruel illness, and as someone who has faced that journey myself, I admire the strength it takes to fight it. Rest peacefully now beautiful and your memory will live on in the hearts of all who love you. Thinking of you Trish & Family xxxx

Still can’t believe you have gone . Karina you were a great colleague and a really good friend, will miss our little catch ups that me and Maggie had with you. You are going to be missed by so many people.
