Margaret AnneBAILLIEOf Raven Park Helmshore, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, aged 85. Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, moving with her family to Lancashire in 1972. A former nurse, playgroup and college crèche manager, Margaret took up charity work after retirement. Kind, thoughtful and selfless, someone who would always put others first, Margaret was very sociable and enjoyed socialising with her friends and family. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden, Saturdays in Manchester, listening to radio four, dining out and holidays with friends.
A committed Christian who made many friends attending various churches over the years. Margaret leaves behind her sons Alastair and John and daughter-in-law Carol. Grandchildren Suzanne, Jordan, Joanne, Gemma, Simon and great-grandchildren Jamie, Lewis, Ellis, Reece, Keira, Lucas, Ethan.
A service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Tuesday, October 3 at 11am. Family flowers only please, with any donations to be made to Dementia UK.
