RoyATKINSONSuddenly but peacefully, on the 25th of August 2025, at Scunthorpe General Hospital, aged 72 years.

Brother to Keith, father to Sara and Lindsay, grandfather to Oscar, uncle to Steven and Charlotte, Louise, Paul and Trina, great-uncle to Isabelle, Heidi and Alice and a great friend to many.

Would friends please meet at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe on Tuesday the 16th of September 2025 at 10.40am for service and committal.

Family flowers only please but donations would be gratefully accepted for "The British Heart Foundation" c/o

Dear Roy, we worked together when we left school, played basketball and football together, went on holiday to Cornwall together, then I moved abroad, 45 years later we still kept in touch, having a couple of pints now and then when I came across.

R.I.P Roy, a truly great man, always up for a chat! Knew him since i met him at Bird In The Barley, one of a kind! A wonderful man and friend! Absolutely gutted. You'll be sorely missed, by all those who knew him! My condolences and my heart goes out to his family! Xxxx
