HelgaARMONIESHelga Armonies (formerly Helga Hirst and also Helgar Luzie Armonies), mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend, passed away, aged 84, 12th July 2025. Her passing followed a short illness.

Although a Crewe resident since the 80's, Helga was convalescing at the family home in Surrey. She was surrounded by her whole family when she passed, after being admitted to Frimley Park Hospital for pneumonia.

Her funeral was held, 7th August in Badshot Lea, Surrey and she is laid to rest in Badshot Lea Cemetery.

Born and orphaned in Lithuania in 1941, she was adopted and raised in Hamburg, Germany. She completed her education, reading Psychology at Hamburg University before embarking on a career as a computer operator, manager, librarian and public servant.

Helga helped setup and run the Stoke Rape Crisis Centre as well as a campaigner for law, order and good neighbourliness in her neighbourhood in Crewe.

Her passions were travel, fashion, the arts and literature.

Surmounting many challenges in her life, she sacrificed much for her beloved son, Antony. She was a mentor and an inspiration. She will be desperately missed by her family and friends.

Ich erinnere mich nicht an die schlechten Zeiten, nur an die wunderbaren. Ich bin für immer dein geliebter Sohn. Geliebte Mutter, ruhe in Frieden.

Beloved mother, rest in peace.
