JosephARMITAGEMr Joseph (Joe) Armitage of Clay Cross has sadly passed away at Hazeldene Care Home, aged 89.
Born in Hawthorn Terrace, Crossland Moor, Huddersfield, Joe has lived locally for the last 4 and a half years.
Retired in 1997 as a University Lecturer, his interests included Scouts GSL 19 Cardiff, DC Cardiff East, Austin 7 Club South Wales, Church, Carving, Upholstery, Probus (Cyncoed), long distance walking, president of Cardiff University Baking Society, a member of IFST (Institute of Food Science and Technology).
Joe leaves behind his wife Gill, children Jez and Stephanie along with grandchildren Thomas and Charlotte.
The funeral service is due to take place on Friday 5th December, Amber Valley Crematorium at 1pm.
