JoyADAMSIt is with deep sadness that we announce on 9th September 2025 at the RSUH, Joy passed away aged 82 years. Reunited with her beloved husband, Graham, a much loved mum of Nigel and his partner Emma, a cherished daughter of the late Bill and Vera Bannister and dear sister of Marjorie.
Over the years, Joy worked in a number of roles, but found her greatest fulfilment in her final position as a tutor in flower arranging with special needs students. She was deeply respected and loved by all her colleagues and students alike, who valued her patience, creativity and care. Joy was a long-time supporter of North Staffs Carers Association, where she both contributed her time and later received comfort and assistance. She cherished the support from the carer's community and held its work close to her heart.
She will always be remembered for her quirky sense of humour, her thoughtful spirit and the way she brought joy and comfort to others, especially children.
A service of thanksgiving for her life will be held on Wednesday, 24th September 2025 at Carmountside Crematorium at 10.30am, would friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the Crematorium.
Joy's family request that in place of flowers, donations are welcome to either the North Staffs Carers Association or Barnardo's (Children's Charity) in memory of Joy c/o the Funeral Director.
