Dear Mum - I have been lucky enough to know you for 67 lovely years. In all that time you were always there with your gentle smile and nature, always offering your unconditional love. Your sudden passing has left a very large void in my life as well as Judith and many others. I recall Dad saying many years ago that he could see you from a mile away if we were walking and you were sitting on a park bench because you were always upright. Even as you matured you always remained upright physically and always elegant. I enjoyed our last few walks and chats at Christmas when we had a lovely week together - as always you were busy ensuring that the house was perfect and food was prepared. Your home and garden remain as a constant reminder of the pleasure of coming home and sitting in the garden, or picking tomatoes as Onelia has beautifully described. You have been a wonderful Mother and person Mum and after Dad passed prematurely, it was incredibly impressive to you see you get on with life and to contribute as you did in Saltram, St Lukes, the Church etc. We will miss you Mum and in these early days of sadness I draw upon the multiple memories we have of your time with us. I hope you and Dad are now reunited and chatting about the last 25 years - with love and affection. Rog xxx

To Grandma, I still can’t believe you’re gone. One of my earliest memories is picking tomatoes in your greenhouse. It felt like magic, though when I look back, really it was just you making everything feel so special - if you had told me we were picking diamonds, I would have believed you! I hope now you and Grandad Sid are catching up. I know how much you missed him and unfortunately I know that now, it is our turn to miss you too. I will always be looking for your brightness and the little bit of magic you seemed to save just for me. Lots of Love, your tomato picker, granddaughter O.
