I'm very sorry to hear of John's passing. (We all called him John at work). A great mentor and inspiration to me as I endeavoured to follow in his footsteps. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

I first met John when we both started Phillips Petroleum now Conoco Phillips when we both started in June 1977. We then worked together for over 30 years where i found John a highly experienced and knowledgable Operations Superintendent.
Best Regards

Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never
be more than a thought apart,
far as long as there is memory,
they’ll live on in the heart.

It's been the hardest thing to lose you
You meant so much to me
But you are in my heart my love And that's where you'll always be I know that Heaven called you But I wish you could have stayed At least the memories I have of you
They will never fade
I did not want to lose you But you did not go alone
Because a part of me went with you When Heaven called you home
So just remember one thing
We are not apart
You're with me in my memories And in my broken heart

You held
my hand
when I was
small, you caught
me when I fell
the hero of my
childhood and of latter years as well.
Every time I think of you my heart just fills with pride, and though I will always miss you dad I know you're by my side. In laughter and in sorrow, in sunshine and in rain I know you're watching over me until we meet again
