Michael JohnSTAFFORDIt is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Mick, who died peacefully at home on 17 March 2026, aged 71 years.
A much‑loved husband to Diane and a devoted dad to Lucy and Emily, Mick was the heart of his family and a steady, joyful presence in the lives of so many.
Born on 4 July 1954, Mick lived a rich and fulfilling life. A talented carpenter and joiner by trade, he brought care and craftsmanship to everything he touched. Music was a lifelong passion and he treasured his time as a drummer in a number of bands, including Rocky storm and the shakers, Silver street, Renegades and The Shakers to name a few.
Mick had a warmth that drew people in, a sense of humour that could brighten any day, and a kindness that made everyone feel welcome. His generosity of spirit will be remembered always, and he will be missed more than words can express.
A service to celebrate Mick's life will be held at:
Trent Valley Crematorium, Derby Rd, Aston‑on‑Trent, Derby DE72 2AF on Tuesday 21 April 2026 at 10.30am.
All who knew Mick are warmly invited to attend.
