Gordon was the Technical director at Podmores back in 1980 when I started to work there fresh out of school at 16. One of my jobs was to fetch the directors dinners from the canteen ( I was petrified of dropping them) but Gordon always thanked me and treated me as the youngest member of staff with the same respect he gave to everyone there no matter what position they held. I will never forget his kindness he always greeted you and not only saying “ Morning” but “Morning Caroline” .
Not only a great Ceramicist but a fabulous person who will be greatly missed by many.
Much to love Maureen, David , Peter and their families xxx
