George DuncanSHEWANGeorge Duncan Shewan -- Duncan to his family and friends -- passed away on Friday 12th December, 2025, in Grimsby aged 82. A Royal Air Force bandsman for 22 years, Duncan was a gifted musician who brought love and laughter to all those fortunate to know him. Duncan was the devoted husband of the late Carol Shewan for almost 60 years, and was a kind, compassionate father.
He is survived by his son, Daniel, and his spouse, Nicky.

A memorial service to celebrate Duncan's life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Weelsby Avenue, on Wednesday 14th January, 2026, at 1500 hours.
Flowers are welcome; in lieu of arrangements, donations to the Alzheimer's Society, a charity Duncan supported strongly following Carol's death, can be made at www.alzheimers.org.uk/get-involved/donate in Duncan's honour.
