PatrickSHAUGHNESSYPatrick "Pat" Shaughnessy passed away on 18th January 2026, aged just 27 years. Words feel painfully small in the face of such a loss, for Pat was taken far too soon, leaving behind a heartbroken family, devoted friends, and a world forever changed by his absence.
Pat leaves behind his loving mum, Tina and dad Graham; his son Haiden; his cherished grandparents, Susan and John; his Auntie Sarah and Uncle Andy, and their children Stephanie, Guy, and Emma; his Auntie Mary and Uncle Simon and their children Luke, Rachel, and Christian; his Auntie Elaine and Uncle Mark and their children Ryan and Kieren; as well as his cousin Stephanie's fiancé Ryan and their children Phoebe, Imogen, and Jessica.
Pat was also surrounded by a huge group of friends who he held close to his heart and cared for deeply.
Pat will be remembered for his warm heart, his loyalty, his kindness, and the way he made people feel truly valued.
He had an infectious presence and a genuine love for those around him. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched and in the love he leaves behind.
The funeral service for Pat will take place at York Crematorium on 20th February at 1:40pm. Following the service, there will be an opportunity to make donations to Yorkshire Air Ambulance in his memory.
Pat will be deeply missed and forever loved.
