Geoffrey DouglasRICHARDSAt peace following a short illness in the presence of his loving sons, at his home in Norton, on Thursday 12th February 2026, Geoff, aged 77 years (retired upholsterer).

Beloved husband of the late Carol, much loved dad of Simon and Craig, dear and respected father in law of Natasha and Stacey, cherished grandad of Zane, Maddox, Luca and Olivia, dear brother of Bill and brother in law of Margaret. Geoff will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who loved and knew him.

Service at St. Bartholomew's Church, Norton on Monday 9th March 2026 at 12 noon, followed by Interment at Burslem Cemetery. Would friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired will be forwarded to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

Geoff walked into our gym over 40 years ago and, in many ways, never left it. He became part of the place, part of the furniture in the very best sense.

What we will remember most is that he was a truly genuine man. No ego, no show, just kindness, consistency, and a real love for the people around him.

Forty years of turning up is impressive in itself, and he always had a big, warm smile and was always up for a good chat

Thank you, Geoff, for being such a big part of our gym family. We’re all better for having known you, and we’ll never forget you.”
