Thank you to everyone who attended John’s funeral last Friday and to those who couldn’t attend but sent their best wishes and condolences. Dad would have been really happy to see so many of his family and friends.
Thank you also for your generous contributions to Alzheimer’s Society in memory of John and Joan. You raised over £350 which is wonderful and will be gratefully received by the Society.

John was a keen gardener and I used to love going into the greenhouse and eating the delicious tomatoes off the vine. He told me off often but never stopped me going in! All the fruit and vegetables John grew tasted great. The garden was beautifully kept and it was a pleasure to sit in. Whenever we stayed at Joan and Johns, Joan would bake cakes for us. John would often pretend to complain that he would be eating cake for weeks! But he loved Joan’s bakes. I will remember John for his welcome when I joined the family, his lovely garden and his love of Golf.
