Peacefully on 11th August 2026, aged 87 years, Sheila Joy (nee Ross)

Devoted Wife of the late Willie, dearly loved Mam of Darren, Mother in law of Winnie, loving Grandma of Jay Jay, also a dear Sister of Heather.

Funeral service to take place at Salvation Army Hall, Newbiggin on Friday 28th August at 11am, followed by interment in St Bartholomew's Churchyard, Newbiggin.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired to Alzheimer's Research & the Salvation Army. A donation box will be available at the hall.

All welcome afterwards for refreshments at Woodhorn Museum.

I have fond memories of Sheila from joining The Salvation Army, the Youth club, playing netball and throughout my time in the Salvation Army, after I left every time I saw Sheila she would always ask how I was and how family were. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
