Robin was my dad's best man and I have known him for over 50 years. A truly lovely man. So many stories around rugby. One in particular. Early 1980's. Wales v England in Cardiff. Robin, my father and I on the beer. We wanted to get into the Angel hotel where the Welsh team were staying but heavy security. My father went 1st claiming that chap with his ticket was in the Angel. He got in. 5 minutes later, I approached the door saying my father was in the Angel. I was let in. 5 minutes later Robin told security that his son (me) was inside. He was let in. The three of us then saw the Welsh team come down the stairs and leave for the game. We just drank and chatted. Presume England lost. We had many trips like that. Great days. Great men

Robin is such a loss to so many and someone who I will always remember for offering good, experienced advice and an abundance of caring love to all of our families and many others. I will cherish plenty of special memories including the wonderful family holiday he and his loving wife, my Aunty Clare invited me to join in Devon during 1976 and the many traditional gatherings in Melton at Christmas time together with my parents Peggy and Derek. A true gent who was so rightly proud of his Welsh roots, now resting in heaven, looking down and enjoying watching the rugby and cricket for ever more. Rest in Peace Uncle Robin, with love David & Kenny xxx
